The story of legendary American artist Jackson Pollock who, along with Lee Krasner, was at the centre of New York's art scene during the 1940s. As Krasner neglects her work to promote Pollock, Pollock begins to unravel emotionally. The couple escape to the country and eventually marry and Pollock begins to create work that makes him the first internationally-famous modern painter in America. But fame and fortune also bring a return to his volatile temper and severe self-doubt.
