While driving through the woods of upstate New York on their way to spend a weekend in the country, George, Kim and their eight year old son Miles, hit a deer on the snow-covered road. The shaken family find themselves in a terrifying encounter with the leader of a posse of local hunters who had been pursuing the animal. The helpless animal is killed by the angry hunter and Miles is clearly upset. As they settle into their farmhouse, the isolation begins to erode their sense of well-being, with the psychotic hunter at the root of it all...
